Born and raised on the Caribbean island of Puerto Rico, I. Vélez, or Iris to her friends, spent most of her youth fantasizing about becoming a vampire or having dinosaurs as pets. Believe me, I know how that sounds. However, it wasn't until she discovered Wattpad that she dared to turn those fantasies into stories and share them with the world.

I. Vélez writes paranormal and fantasy romances featuring handsome guys and the foul-mouthed women who live to torment them. She also has stories in both English and Spanish for the enjoyment of both communities.

Today, she lives in Saint Thomas with her family. She spends her days keeping her young daughter from destroying the house while also trying to write and read.
