Kisa Rayen

A professional historian by trade, Kisa holds the rare distinction of blending her scholarly expertise with a burgeoning talent for crafting spine-chilling tales in the realms of sci-fi fantasy, horror, dark romance, and more. Armed with doctoral certifications in history and a relentless pursuit of knowledge, Kisa is currently honing her storytelling craft through a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. 

In a literary landscape rich with genre blends, Kisa Rayen is poised to make a lasting impact, inviting readers to explore the darker sides of love and existence, enveloped in a narrative that is as enchanting as it is haunting.

Drawing from a well of eclectic interests--from the rush of running to the mysteries of herpetology--Kisa infuses her writing with a raw, primal energy that grips readers and refuses to let go. Her characters breathe with a life of their own, mirroring her own passion for art, reading, and the call of the wild in her outdoor adventures. While Kisa's achievements in the literary world are yet to be fully unveiled, her unique blend of historical insight, personal fervor, and creative ingenuity promises a future where her name will be etched in the annals of the macabre and the fantastic. She is also the mother of four children and married to author Mehdi Fakhrahmad, sharing a love for reading and writing. They reside in Middle Tennessee in the United States. 

In addition to being an indie author, Kisa shares an online bookshop with her author husband. Little Shop of Lotharus, and is starting an indie publishing company in the beginning of 2025. Stay tuned for more information.

Kisa is also an artist, bringing life to her characters and other author's stories by creating custom character portrait art.
